Personal Care & Homecare Services – Oregon

Atlas Community Care provides Medicaid-funded in-home caregiving services for clients who qualify through Oregon's Medicaid programs and brokerages.

Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)

Oregon Eligibility Requirements

Understanding what's required to qualify for family caregiving programs in Oregon

Oregon

In-Home Care / Brokerage

To qualify for Oregon family caregiving programs:

  • Oregon Medicaid (OHP) eligibility
  • A functional needs assessment by a Case Manager or Service Coordinator
  • Residency in Oregon
  • Need for help with ADLs/IADLs
  • Ability to self-direct services or have a legal representative

Programs this applies to:

  • • Oregon Homecare Worker Program (Self-Directed)
  • • State Plan Personal Care
  • • Brokerage Services (Independence NW, UCP, etc.)
  • • Case Management Entities (APD)

Oregon has NO MCOs — everything is State, Brokerage, or County run. Clients can begin services 2–4 weeks after assessment.

Atlas Community Care supports Self-Directed Family Caregiving in all states we serve. Hours, rates, and eligibility are determined by each state's Medicaid rules and assessment processes.
