These are funding programs, not services.

1. State Plan Personal Assistance Services (PAS)

This is Montana's primary "PCA-style" program. It is not a waiver.

Montana Eligibility Requirements

Understanding what's required to qualify for family caregiving programs in Montana

PCA / CFC / Self-Directed Care

To qualify for Montana family caregiving programs, clients must meet:

  • Montana Medicaid eligibility
  • A functional impairment requiring assistance with ADLs or IADLs
  • A Nurse Assessment (DPHHS) confirming personal care need
  • Residency in Montana
  • Ability to self-direct or have a representative

Programs this applies to:
